National Thermal Power Corporation Renewable Energy has issued a tender to set up India’s first green hydrogen fuelling station in Leh, Ladakh.
Published on Thursday (July 29), the news follows a recent tender floated by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) for procurement of fuel cell buses for Ladakh.
With both of these, along with other projects, NTPC wants to be India’s largest green hydrogen producer – something which it told H2 View earlier this year.

With a focal point on the station development, NTPC has said a dedicated 1.25MW solar plant will be set up to make the facility completely green.
It is expected that the solar plant contract will be awarded within the next month.
