A new hydrogen station will be operational in Tours, France next year (2022).
Supporting both light and heavy-duty vehicles, Nel Hydrogen Fuelling today (Sep 28) said it has received a H2Station™ order from Touraine Vallée de l’Indre for the facility.
The station development is partly funding by the European Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) COSMHYC-DEMO project under a €1m ($1.1m) contract.
Playing a key role in hydrogen developments, the COSMHYC series includes three projects which are developing, prototyping and demonstrating innovative compression solutions for hydrogen.
Commenting on the order, Jens Egholt Rasmussen, Senior Director Global Sales at Nel Hydrogen Fuelling, said, “We are delighted to announce that we have been chosen as supplier for a fuelling station for the Touraine Vallée de l’Indre in France.
“Nel Hydrogen is hereby passing an important landmark adding yet another country to its list of references. We are looking forward to assisting the Community of cities Touraine Vallée de l’Indre with the deployment of this very first hydrogen fuelling station in the region.”
