The Sustainable Truck of the year will be back in Autumn with the announcement of the 2022 awards. Waiting for the next edition, let’s take a step back and retrace the winners of the 2021 edition, held digitally for the first time due to the pandemic. Stay tuned, we’ll provide constant updates about the next nominees for the awards.
As you may know (for all the info and history of the award, please read this post), the Sustainable Truck of the year consists of three different categories, Tractor, Distribution and Van. Last year, the IVECO S-Way Np (pictured above) won the Tractor category as it set new benchmarks in terms of performance and efficiency, for alternative fuel long-distance vehicles.
The IVECO S-Way was awarded because not only it was the only gas powered vehicle with a range of 1,600 kilometers, but it has also become the new reference in terms of consumption: 4.12 kilometers with a kilo of gas.
The IVECO truck also combines high quality standards together with a significant increase of comfort levels for the driver and safety for other road users. With the new cab, a wide environment (2,150 mm height and a tunnel reduced to just 95 mm) has been created, even less noisy inside and outside (complies with Piek standards).
